GETTING TO THE TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS

Once you arrive on the island – you may need to consider different means of transportation depending on what your plans are, Although Providenciales is a relatively small island at 38 square miles (98 sq km), getting around can be difficult and expensive if you don’t have a car.
- Therefore, I’d highly recommend renting a car for at least a part of your stay if you plan to explore the island.
- If you are someone who is not comfortable renting and/or driving around a new island on your own, there is also an option to hire a private driver who sticks with you the entire time and is available to pick you up and drop you off where you are going.
- Finally, taxis are widely available on Providenciales, yet tend to be a bit expensive.
